ML63 AMG 2011 Mercedes
Mercedes has unveiled these days the new ML sixty three AMG SUV that features the latest exterior design plus a powerful V8 powerplant. The auto will go available for sale in July at a cost of 105,077 euro.
Underneath the hood there is a 6.3-litre V8 powerplant that provides a total of 510 hp at 6800 revoltions per minute plus a peak torque of 630 NM. It makes the to 60 mph sprint in 5. seconds, while top speed is limited to 155 miles per hour. The powerplant is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission.
As for the exterior design, Mercedes opted for a fresh bonnet with power domes, darkened bi-xenon headlamps with active lighting function, darkened tail lights incorporating a clear-lens style and LED technology. There is a chromed front and rear underguard. The look is completed by 5-spoke AMG light-alloy tires.
For the interior the ML63 AMG will get electrically adjustable AMG sports seats completed in nappa leather-based upholstery, together with Alcantara inserts in the shoulder areas and multicontour function and heating. The look continuesi in the AMG aluminium shift paddles and perforated leather-based for the specially-shaped grip area.
A best-seller unveils its updated exterior: the ML sixty three AMG, featuring a potent 375 kW (510 hp) AMG 6.3-litre V8 motor, takes on a far more attractive appearance thanks to a few subtle but effective modifications.
From the the front, the eye is instantly drawn to the new hood with power domes, and also the darkened bi-xenon headlamps together with active lighting function. The rear, meanwhile, also contributes properly to the new look: the overall performance SUV now features darkened tail lamps incorporating a clear-lens design and LED technology. The subtle changes to the exterior coordinate perfectly together with the high-gloss, chromed the front and rear underguard, and afford the ML 63 AMG an even more potent and distinctive appearance.
Powerful and torque-laden AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine
Still boasting a power output of 375 kW (510 hp) at 6800/revoltions per minute as well as 630 Nm of torque, the ML sixty three AMG is capable of accelerating from to 100 km/h in 5. seconds, and achieves a high speed of 250 kilometer/h (electronically limited). At the famous International Powerplant of the Year Awards in ’09, the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine took the top places both in the “Best Performance Motor” and “Above 4 litres” groups.
As before, power transfer is taken care of via the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission with 3 drive modes. The permanent all-wheel drive is highly sporty: the power is split asymmetrically 40:60 among the front and rear tires to deliver optimum agility. The AMG sports suspension, based on the AIRMATIC package with air suspension, adaptive damping method ADS and automated level control all-round, provides powerful overall performance mixed with the hallmark Mercedes long-distance comfort. The generously dimensioned AMG high-performance braking method, which features internally ventilated and perforated brake discs all-round, ensures short braking kilometers and ideal resistance to fading.
The ML sixty three AMG comes together with 5-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels, that are colored titanium grey together with a higher-sheen finish and fitted with 295/40 R 20 tyres for the front and rear. As an optional extra, titanium-grey-painted, high-sheen twin-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels fitted with 295/35 R 21 tyres are also available.
High-quality interior with nappa leather-based upholstery
As usual, the interior of the ML 63 AMG is both functional and high-quality: electrically adjustable AMG sports seats finished in nappa leather-based upholstery, together with Alcantara inserts inside the shoulder areas and multicontour function and heating, are complemented by AMG sports steering wheel with AMG aluminium shift paddles and perforated leather-based about the specifically-shaped grip area. A nappa leather-trimmed dashboard is usually available as an optional extra.
The updated ML sixty three AMG is available to order together with immediate effect and will be delivered to customers from July 2010. It carries a price tag of 105,077 euros (incl. 19% VAT).
